Love Not Codependence

We are learning to become mature
As we learn that company may not mean security;
And we learn the subtle difference between
Holding a hand and chaining a soul!

We Do Best What We Were Taught To Do... We Do Best What We learned To Do...WHEN WE LEARN BETTER WE DO BETTER

We learn that kisses are not contracts,
And presents are not promises;
To love does not mean that we own;
For learning to love is a long apprenticeship.

And where there is commitment
Kisses are honest, and presents have meaning,
For to love is to care and set free,
As we encourage, rejoice and appreciate.

And you begin to learn that not to be the centre of attention
May not be rejection,
But with the grace of an adult, your head is up and your eyes clear,
You leave behind the heartaches of a child.

Maturity is when you have learned that even sunshine burns,
If you have too much,
With the pain of yesterday behind you, and the future unknown,
You care for yourself and enjoy the harmony of life.

Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers,
Plant your own garden, decorate your soul,
And share your joy with others,
For you learn that ‘Serenity’ is the harmony of ‘Now’.

You will learn that you are a person of worth and dignity,
Who is loved and accepted by others.
You will know that you are God’s (the universes) child!
Precious member of a much loved family.
