Self-Image Do you have a Healthy-or-Unhealthy-Self-Image?

What we all need is a-healthy-Self-Image.

We need our friends and family to have the same.

In fact the whole world could attain the PEACE it needs with a-healthy-self-image.

Healthy-or-Unhealthy-Self-Image

A person with a healthy self-image:

1. Feels good about self, even if others criticize.

2. Copes with life’s many setbacks, although they may be thrown off balance for a short time.

3. Feels confident about his/her own talent.

4. May be stung by criticism, but the hurt soon passes.

5. Appreciates praise, but does not live for it.

6. Has self-esteem that is unfluctuating, even after rejection, disapproval, or personal attacks.

7. Does not believe he or she is entitled to special or favored treatment.

8. Is sensitive to the feelings of others.



Healthy-or-Unhealthy-Self-Image

A person with an unhealthy self-image:

1. Needs constant buoying up from others to have a sense of wellbeing.

2. Reacts to hurts and injuries of life with fits of depression or rage.

3. Needs to feel superior to everyone else, and seeks out recognition for that superiority.

4. Is incensed by criticism, and broods for long periods about it.

5. Has an insatiable craving for praise and recognition, seeking compliments to momentarily feel good about self.

6. Reacts to rejection, disapproval or personal attacks with bitter rage or deep depression.

7. Feels entitled to special treatment because they are not ordinary.

8. Is sensitive to what others need or feel.
